Travis Mcgregor
I have been a tattoo artist for 21 years and am 38 years old. Drawing has been a part of my life since I can remember. I am passionate about Neo-traditional, illustrated style tattooing, including Japanese and black and grey themes. My favorite subjects include animals in combat, cute animals, anything with snakes, floral styles, and evil or dark imagery. I am always open to challenges and trying new things. If I believe a project is not within my expertise, I will be upfront and guide you in the right direction, although it is rare for me to pass on a project.
I fell in love with tattooing at the age of 13 and aspired to become a tattoo artist by 14, immersing myself in school projects and filling my parents' computer with tattoo photos and information. At 16, I got my first tattoo and had about five before starting an apprenticeship at Kitchener Way Cool Tattoos. It was a dream come true when I began my career as a tattoo artist at the age of 17.
After working at Kitchener Way Cool Tattoos for around five years, I joined Thrive Studios in Cambridge, where I spent about seven years. Post Thrive Studios, I opened my own tattoo shop, Hailstorm Tattoos. As the proud owner for five years, it was disheartening to close during the Covid days. Following that, I ran a private studio for around two years. Currently, I am working at Made in the Shade Tattoos in Hamilton, Ontario, and it's been a year and a half. There's nothing I would rather do than make tattoos, draw, or paint. I am truly grateful and happy to create art every day for my clients, fulfilling my dream job.
I am excited to start your next project if you decide to book with me.
